There’s something a little magical about a season changing.
The mornings feel softer. The garden starts doing something new. The flower market begins filling with different colours, different textures, different scents. You blink and suddenly the roses are gone and the poppies are back. Or the dahlias disappear and the first camellias quietly arrive.
And I think, in many ways, that’s exactly what this new chapter of Where the Roses Grow feels like too.
A changing season.
Over the past year, this little business has grown more than I ever imagined. What started as late nights creating bouquets at home between motherhood, gardening, candles, and cups of tea somehow slowly turned into a fully fledged floristry studio filled with weddings, events, deliveries, market mornings, flower buckets, proposal guides, ribbons, and dreams much bigger than I originally allowed myself to have.
But somewhere amongst all of that growth, I realised the brand itself no longer fully reflected the direction my work was moving in.
The flowers had changed.
The styling had changed.
The vision had changed.
And so… welcome to the new era of Where the Roses Grow Floristry Studio.
Welcome to The Rose Garden.
This rebrand has been about creating a softer, dreamier, more intentional home for the business. A space that feels romantic and nostalgic, inspired by English gardens, slow mornings, overflowing flower beds, old books left open on tables, bowls of fruit on kitchen benches, muddy wellington boots at the back door, and flowers gathered in armfuls rather than perfectly arranged.
I wanted the brand to feel like stepping into my world a little more.
Not just “buying flowers”.
But experiencing the feeling behind them.
You’ll start seeing little changes appear everywhere over the coming weeks - custom wrapping, beautiful ribbons, new proposal designs, refined packaging, updated collections, and a website that finally feels like us.
Soft.
Seasonal.
A little whimsical.
A little unruly.
Garden inspired in every sense.
I’ve also made some quiet changes behind the scenes that felt really important as this business continues to grow. More intention. More refinement. More confidence in the kind of work I want to create and the experience I want clients to have when they order from the studio.
I think for a long time I worried about taking up too much space creatively. About being “too much”. Too romantic. Too editorial. Too dreamy. Too gardeny. But the truth is - the more I lean into that world, the more the work feels like me.
And that’s the direction this next chapter is heading in.
Flowers that feel gathered from the garden.
Designs with movement and scent and softness.
Seasonal florals that tell a story rather than follow a recipe.
A studio that feels personal, thoughtful, and deeply inspired by nature.
At the moment, the flower market is beginning to shift again and I’m finding myself completely swept up in the beauty of it all. Poppies are making their return (my personal weakness), the air feels cooler in the mornings, and everything feels just a little slower in the loveliest way.
So naturally, I’ve been spending my afternoons making simple little seasonal things at home too.
At the moment, my favourite is roasted pears with honey and thyme.
Nothing fancy.
Just comforting and beautiful in the quietest way.
Roasted Pears with Honey & Thyme
You’ll need:
- 2 ripe pears
- A drizzle of honey
- A few sprigs of fresh thyme
- A small knob of butter
- Cinnamon if your heart tells you to
Slice the pears in half and place them into a baking dish with a little butter. Drizzle generously with honey, scatter over thyme, and bake until soft and caramelised. Serve warm with cream, yoghurt, or eaten straight from the dish standing at the kitchen bench (my preferred method).
Simple little seasonal rituals like this are the exact feeling I want this new era of WTRG to carry.
Beautiful things that feel lived in.
Not overly polished.
Not performative.
Just thoughtful, romantic, and inspired by the seasons around us.
So thank you for being here.
Whether you’ve ordered once, followed along quietly for months, trusted me with your wedding flowers, sent kind messages, or simply shared my work with a friend - thank you for helping this little studio grow into what it is becoming.
I have a feeling this next chapter is going to be a beautiful one.
With love & roses,
Kels ♡
